The Culture Centre in Łubianka has been successfully initiating, organising and supervising cultural and sporting events in the commune for many years
Many other institutions have their share in creating the cultural image of the region as well. The list includes: local councils, school sports clubs, primary and high schools, Country Societies, Fire Brigades and the Public Library in Łubianka. The commune is also a stage of a number of popular and sporting events, the most entertaining being:
- the International Indoor Hockey Tournament (launched in 1999)
- the Council Run in Łubianka in Long-distance Running Championships of self-governments of the Province of Kuyavia and Pomerania
- Toruń Marathon: Toruń – Łubianka – Toruń
- the Independence Run from Łubianka through Bierzgłowo, Zamek Bierzgłowski and Leszcz to Pigża, a part of  the Marshal’s Grand Prix in Long-distance Running of the Province of Kuyavia and Pomerania.

Local residents specially cherish the Tournament of Villages of the commune of Łubianka organised here every year, the Family Picnic, the Family Sports Games, Sporting and Fire-fighting competitions, summer football matches and winter violleyball, basketball and table tennis games.
